Three Cheer...ios...for Rowan!

Ok, so there are four on my tray, but you know what I mean. Now that I'm 9 months old, I've gotten to start finger foods! This is my second go at Cheerios. We would have had pictures from the first go, but Mom got all paranoid about the possibility of me choking or something, so she wanted her hands free...whatev. Anyway, I'm not exactly sure about the whole crunchy thing, and I can't quite get them in my mouth on my own yet, but it's just a matter of time. I'd better get on board though because Daddy bought about 35 lbs. of Cheerios from Costco.

By the way, I went for my 9-month check-up yesterday, and I'm fit as a fiddle. No shots on this visit...woohoo! I'm 30 and 1/4 inches long, which puts me in the 95th percentile, and I'm 23 lbs. which puts me in the 80th percentile, for those of you keeping score at home. Just call me a lean, mean, crawling machine!

Do NOT try this at home

A professional stunt baby was used in the shooting of this picture. It takes a lot of skill and talent to drive a truck over your own leg, so don't head out to your driveway to fire up the Chevy with this trick in mind.

The upside of upside down

...is that it's really fun! I love looking upside down at people, especially when I'm wiggling around on daddy!

You can't top this!

Grandma brought me a super-cool, old-fashioned top from the Toymaker in Williamsburg, and I love it! It whirrrs and spins and delights me to no end! As always, you can click my picture to see me bigger!

A false friend and a shadow attend only while the sun shines

That Ben Franklin was a smart guy to come up with such a wise little saying. I've got the shadow thing about nailed down since it continues to fascinate me. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for those false friends though...I certainly don't want to be sharing my blocks with somebody who shows up only when the sun shines...especially in this town!

My future's so bright...

...I've gotta wear shades!

Check Seattle and me out! There was so much sun today that I got to wear shorts, shades and a sun hat!

Walk this way...

And here Grandma and I are on that walk I was telling you about. We had a great time talking to all sorts of people in the neighborhood and visiting the local poochie-mutts that happened to be outside. We even met a man who used to work at John Deere in Canada, so he thought my hat was tops! The sun has finally come out in Seattle and Junuary seems to be coming to an end. Thank goodness!

I look good in John Deere green!

This is the first time I've worn a ball cap, so I thought it'd be appropriate if I busted out my John Deere hat. I love it! I'm ready for a visit out on the farm with my cousins, but first I'm going to head out on a walk with Grandma while Mom works.
