Hi!

Mom just took a couple of quick pictures of me the other day to catch you people up on what I look like. She tells me she is going to do a better job of posting for me. If she doesn't improve, I may have to fire her soon!

Rowan DMC

Yup, that's right...the old 80s rap group Run DMC doesn't have anything on me! Daddy even taugh me some gangsta looks for my street cred. We hit up a couple of neighbors, including our neighbor Dan, for a little candy, but we went home pretty quickly since Mom and Dad won't let me eat any of that stuff. It was all about the experience people! I'm now officially a trick-or-treater!

Flying flowers!

I was so lucky that the neato butterfly exhibit was happening at the American Museum of Natural History while we were in Manhattan. We saw lots of pretty bugs, but couldn't stay in their house for too long because it was HOT and humid. Maybe they can come visit me at my house. That would definitely be more comfortable!

Big business

We finally made it to the GLG offices to see Aunt Fressie's workspace since they finished moving in to their new offices. I nearly made quite an impression when I ran down the hallway and a big meeting was going on in the conference room that has glass walls. Although I'm great, it's probably best that visiting big-wig didn't think that I was running things.

A walk in the park

We took a quick stroll through Central Park on our way to Aunt Fressie's office. It's quite possible I could become a big soccer star since I kept trying to run away from Mommy and Daddy to play with some big boys in the park.

Dining out

New York has a really great place to eat outside called the Boat Basin Cafe. We enjoyed a sunny afternoon with Granny Jess there, and I even got my own turkey sandwich! I also discovered I don't like pickles.

Catching up with Aunt Melissa

Hey guys...sorry I've been away for so long! Mom has been a little lame about posting, so we have some catching up to do! While we were in NY, we got to visit with Aunt Melissa for a little bit before I went to bed. It was great to see her, and I can't wait to see her in Virginia at Christmas!

Cool cousin

I was so sad to say goodbye to my super-cool cousin, Hunter. She was so sweet to help her mom and dad host us this past week. I loved watching her dance and practice juggling. I sure hope she'll come to visit me in Seattle soon!

Covering some ground at the playground

I met Zoe and her friend, Brooklyn, who was visiting from Toronto at the playground today. We had lots of fun, but I definitely managed to cover some ground with my behind while we were there. Zoe was such a nice, concerned girl and tried to help me up.

Hide and seek

I made a new friend over at the Small's house...Ruby! She was just my size to play with.

King Kone!

After pumpkin picking, we went by King Kone for some ice cream! I only got to have a little taste of Mom's strawberry milkshake, which I thought was yummy!

Pumpkin picking

We spent a super sunny fall day out at Muscoot Farm in Westchester with my cousin Hunter, and Uncle Mark. There were pumpkins, animals, leaves and a farmers' market. Soo fun! It was my first real shot at walking around outside, and I pretty much nailed it, though I did have a run in with some scratchy weeds that roughed up my cheek.

Kickin' it in Katonah

I've gotten to spend some good play time with my cousin Zoe over at her house. Her mommy, Liz, is holding both of us in a very cool chair that spins!

Get up, stand up!

Not only have I improved my walking since we've been away, but I figured out how to stand up without pulling up on anything!

Going ape

Well, we sort of went ape. We checked out the baboons at the Prospect Park Zoo, and I thought they looked kind of weird...but not as weird as the real apes that were eating their poop at the Seattle Zoo.

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks

Granny J and I waited outside Romio's while Dad grabbed a slice.

Planes, trains and automobiles

My first ride on a subway completed my 24-hour transportation trifecta! I wasn't so sure about the train's speedy arrival into the station or the screeching of the wheels against the tracks, but Dad said it was OK.

Will the real Rowan Miller please stand up?

After we arrived at the Marriott in Brooklyn, I quickly discovered the closet door with the mirror from top to bottom, which I thought was way cool. These pictures were from the beginning of my LONG night, which earned me a sleep in the bed with Mommy and Daddy, which NEVER happens!

Walkin' man

Check me out...I can walk on my own! I'm getting steadier and steadier every day, but now and again I hit my bottom. That kiddo in the Charmin ads back in the day may have been on to something with the toilet paper in his diaper.

A stick me situation

Well, I was able to avoid shots at my nine-month visit, but doggone it, Dr. L. busted out the needles AGAIN at my 12-month visit! I hear there will be no shots next time though...yay. Of course I'll give you the info you are interested in...weight: 24lbs. 13oz. (90th percentile), length: 31-3/4 (95th percentile) and head: 48.4cm (95th percentile).

Birthday pictures!

Here they are! We had a great time decorating cupcakes, eating barbeque and seeing friends! The best part though, was listening to everyone singing happy birthday to me. I love music and I totally knew it was all about ME! Wheeee! I hope everyone had as much fun as I did!

Mommy and Daddy help me with the cake, which I didn't care too much about eating.

Ellie decorates a cupcake while Jacqueline runs by and Jack discovers the goodness of gummy bears!

Wow, all these people sure are tall!

Well, hello there Dianne!

Zoe popped by for a quick hello while Grandpa was holding me....

Here's the scene under the big top!

...and finally here's part of the spread. We had chili-rubbed ribs with espresso BBQ sauce, BBQ brisket, green beans in lemon dressing with walnuts and parmesean, cornbread, ruby applesauce and scallopped fennel and potatoes with gouda. The birthday cake was sour cream and banana with cream cheese frosting. Mmmmm...
