Ho Ho Ho!

And what did YOU get for Christmas?

Naughty or nice?

Last night we went to the Schulers for drinks and I wore my cute T-shirt that Alek, Koby, Billy and Kelly gave me. The Schulers' dogs really liked me...particularly Winston who is on Daddy's lap.

Sound of music

We enjoyed a lovely Christmas party at Dr. and Mrs. McCoy's house the other night. Mrs. McCoy played the piano and everyone sang...I enjoyed it until the crowd decided to clap...I'm not too sure about applause yet. I know I am capable of some great vocals, but the admiration gives me a little stage fright.

Nanny diaries

Here I am with my Auntie Melissa...she's filling me in on all her experiences while she was a nanny. I can tell she knows what she's doing!

On a roll

Woohooo! Check me out...MAJOR news, people. I rolled over today from my tummy to my back, totally on my own. I wasn't too happy about being on my tummy at the time, so I decided to do something about it. I kinda surprised myself when I flipped over...finally, I can get a little bit of control in my life...those big people can't dictate EVERYTHING I do anymore...wheeeee!

NYC in the NN

I finally got to meet my Auntie Heather and Uncle Bill since they arrived here in Newport News with Auntie Melissa from New York yesterday...they were very excited to hold me! I impressed Uncle Bill with my strong grip and I hope that I didn't upset my Auntie when I started to cry. I was just ti-ti. I'll get a picture with Auntie Melissa later!

Office space

We got ready and went to Grandaddy's office party today. Debbie gave me her Santa hat, which matched my outfit perfectly! I got tuckered out after flirting with all of the ladies and playing with Helene.

You can find me in da club, bottle fulla bub...well, formula

We went to the Country Club tonight for some fried chicken, so I put on my super fun sweater that Granny Jess brought to me all the way from Marks and Spencer in London. Everyone said I looked so handsome, so thanks Granny J! Mom actually made it out from behind the camera for a picture with me...unfortunately I slept through it all...even dinner.

Bugging out

Today I got to play on my little caterpillar activity mat that is here for me in Virginia. I've gotten so good at grabbing things that I was able to get hold of the mirror hanging above me and point it toward myself! To steal a few words from Dr. Seuss, "Oh, the places I'll go" with skills like that!

I-64 leads to the North Pole

Today Dad, Mom and Grandma took me over to Norfolk to see Santa Claus. I was feeling very serious when it was my turn to tell him what I want...probably because I was chafed that it took so long for them to be finished with the kiddo in front of me. Doesn't Santa know that no matter how hard you try, that it's tough to get a one month old to smile? At least they had a shot with me...well, they would have if they hadn't bogged so badly. Anyway, I met new friends in the elevator, passed PETA headquarters and enjoyed getting to know St. Nick. This trip out shopping went much better than the last...no diapee blowouts and no meltdowns. I definitely am my momma's boy! Remember to click on the pictures to see bigger versions!

Yankee Doodle Dandy

Oh boy! I got to meet another neato person today...Pam Witherington! She used to watch Mom after school when she was in kindergarten and can probably be partially to blame for Mom's love of doing artsy projects since they used to do cool things like make candles and corn husk dolls. Anyway, she and her husband, Terry, did such a nifty thing...they are having a flag flown over the capitol building in Washington, D.C., in MY honor on Christmas Eve for my first Christmas and then the flag will be sent. Isn't that great!?

Reality check

No, I'm not a couch potato in training. I'm just trying to save Mom and Dad's brains from another episode of America's Next Top Model, Project Runway, Survivor or the Amazing Race. Somebody take the DVR away from them.

I, Robot

Check me out shaking my cool, new robot rattle that Grandma got for me the other day! He's a slippery little sucker though and he managed to finally pin me down. I'll win the next round!

A chat with Miss Elsie

Today we went to go visit Mom's most favorite neighbor ever...Mrs. Elsie Booker. She is the best...she and Mr. Booker, who we miss very much, used to take care of Mom when she was home sick from school...or faking being home sick from school. I'm sure that I'll never try to pull that old line on Mom and Dad that I don't feel well to get out of going to class.

A visit from S-aunt-a DeRonda

My Aunt DeRonda came to play Santa Claus today and she brought me the neatest toy! It was an exersaucer...yay! Mom had to help me out with opening it, so we don't have any pictures of me in action with paper and bows, but there will be many pictures to come of me working the exersaucer.

Food for thought

Tonight I got all duded up and went to dinner with Dad, Mom, Grandaddy and our friends the Schulers (Grandma is on her way home from Kansas). Mrs. Schuler was kind enough to hold me so Mom could eat her yummies. I think she is really nice, so she'll get to hold me again. In case you were interested, I was a very good boy and only fussed when I got hungry.

Fun in the sun

Mom continued to torture me with the picture taking while Dad was playing golf today. Usually he's around to ward off such nonsense.

First snow

Ok, well, it wasn't really snow, but it was my first frozen precipitation. I endured one heck of an ice storm while we were in the great Midwest and of course it was yet another excuse for Mom to mummify me in something crazy...this time a blue suede snowsuit. Oy.

Hot dog!

I loved meeting my cousin Lauren's puppy, Duchess...Grandma and my cousin Kelly introduced me. She is a very sweet and very little miniature Dachshund. Funny thing is that I actually outweigh her by over 10lbs.

Kansas cousins

I was so excited to meet oodles of my second cousins in Kansas...Alek, Koby, Lauren and Samuel! I loved watching them since they're closer to my size, you know. We played on the floor, posed for pictures and talked lots about what it's like to be a big kiddo.

Travelin' man

Wow, I feel like I've been on a plane more than I've been off of one these days. Fortunately I can sleep anywhere and I was able to make my comment on long layovers over Grandma's shoulder after a feeding in Atlanta. Mom and I flew to Virginia and then we scooted to Kansas for a quick trip since Funny Old Mary wasn't feeling so well. I'm so happy that my great-grandma is out of ICU...she gave us a real scare!

Chair-e-o, matey!

Sitting up like a big boy is so much more fun than laying around...I can check out what is going on and even get a sneak peek of the TV once in a while.

Grinning with Grandaddy

Grandaddy and I got some quality time in the other day...we were all smiles at home and for a little while at Nordstrom. However, I later had a major meltdown on my first shopping trip followed by a colossal diapee blowout. I'll have to improve my opinion of shopping...if I don't, it could become questionable if I'm my mother's child.

Bear down

I love chilling on my bear in Virginia...he's so soft and cuddly!

Looking for a hand out

My hands continue to fascinate me! Aren't they cool?! I've recently discovered I can hold a rattle and chew on it...and I'm so savvy about the hands thing that I can nearly get my paci back in my mouth on my own.
