Hanging at home

Just before my nap yesterday, we were just hanging out at home, doing a climbing and a little drooling thanks to the 2-year molars!

Park place

Yesterday morning we took a spin through Lincoln Park where I picked up a few of my favorite things...ROCKS! Trees are also kind of curious, especially when I stand right under them and look up. Hopefully a bird won't decide to poop on my head!

Rock pile Rowan

With Grandpa's help, Mom and Dad are redoing our front yard, which is great for me because there are all sorts of rock piles and dirt to explore!

Messy Marvin

So, I'm not Marvin, but I can certainly be messy like him! This is after a particularly yummy pancake with pureed berries on top...yeah, right...on top of my HEAD!

Island life

Today I had my first ferry ride from Mukilteo over to Clinton, which is on Whidbey Island. Mom and I went to visit our friends, Karin and Lulu (or Nutty Buddy as she is known to her parents!) since they are renting a house up there for the month. We had a great time at the park in the sunshine. Hightlights included running in a big field and spending a little time on the swings. Having my poopy diaper changed in the back of Karin's car was the low point of the day. :) Afterwards we went for pizza, had a browse in an antique store and then I fell asleep in the car on the way home.

Top chef

One of my very favorite things to do these days is to have Mom take ALL of the pots and pans down off of the pot rack so I can play with them. I really like to transport them between the kitchen and the bathroom, but Mom says that Padma, Tom, Gail and the guest judge might mark me down for cleanliness if I keep those practices up.

Snow man

You got it...I'm a snow man! We were out at Grandpa's where he had oodles of snow left from the big Seattle storm since he lives at the base of the Cascade range. I loved tromping through the snow, and Grandpa even got me an awesome sled. He made a pretty good sled dog when he pulled me down the driveway. I only had to yell, "Mush!" once or twice.

High and tight

Well, not exactly high and tight because if I asked for that, then I wouldn't really have any hair left at all now, would I? Anyway, Mom and Dad took me to see Dad's barber, Rob, and he gave me a good trim. I can't believe my parents took me to someone with NO hair to get my hair cut. Oh well, it seemed to work out OK. Mom saved some of my hair for my baby book...she's so weird.

Happy Christmas!

Better late than never! I had a great time checking out the trees at Grandma's house where I got lots of great toys. We went to Norfolk again to see Santa and I told him all about what I wanted. We had a good chat and I can't wait to see him again next year!

Hi!

Mom just took a couple of quick pictures of me the other day to catch you people up on what I look like. She tells me she is going to do a better job of posting for me. If she doesn't improve, I may have to fire her soon!

Rowan DMC

Yup, that's right...the old 80s rap group Run DMC doesn't have anything on me! Daddy even taugh me some gangsta looks for my street cred. We hit up a couple of neighbors, including our neighbor Dan, for a little candy, but we went home pretty quickly since Mom and Dad won't let me eat any of that stuff. It was all about the experience people! I'm now officially a trick-or-treater!

Flying flowers!

I was so lucky that the neato butterfly exhibit was happening at the American Museum of Natural History while we were in Manhattan. We saw lots of pretty bugs, but couldn't stay in their house for too long because it was HOT and humid. Maybe they can come visit me at my house. That would definitely be more comfortable!

Big business

We finally made it to the GLG offices to see Aunt Fressie's workspace since they finished moving in to their new offices. I nearly made quite an impression when I ran down the hallway and a big meeting was going on in the conference room that has glass walls. Although I'm great, it's probably best that visiting big-wig didn't think that I was running things.

A walk in the park

We took a quick stroll through Central Park on our way to Aunt Fressie's office. It's quite possible I could become a big soccer star since I kept trying to run away from Mommy and Daddy to play with some big boys in the park.

Dining out

New York has a really great place to eat outside called the Boat Basin Cafe. We enjoyed a sunny afternoon with Granny Jess there, and I even got my own turkey sandwich! I also discovered I don't like pickles.

Catching up with Aunt Melissa

Hey guys...sorry I've been away for so long! Mom has been a little lame about posting, so we have some catching up to do! While we were in NY, we got to visit with Aunt Melissa for a little bit before I went to bed. It was great to see her, and I can't wait to see her in Virginia at Christmas!

Cool cousin

I was so sad to say goodbye to my super-cool cousin, Hunter. She was so sweet to help her mom and dad host us this past week. I loved watching her dance and practice juggling. I sure hope she'll come to visit me in Seattle soon!

Covering some ground at the playground

I met Zoe and her friend, Brooklyn, who was visiting from Toronto at the playground today. We had lots of fun, but I definitely managed to cover some ground with my behind while we were there. Zoe was such a nice, concerned girl and tried to help me up.
